Structuring The Study

Social responsibilities in the nursing care is one of the essential part which will help to articulate the resident's views and the way in which the resident engage in developing the relationships with the staff and peer which is necessary for facilitating the identification of opportunities.

In introduction it has been described that what is the aim and and purpose of the study and the topic on which the study is carried out. In the abstract part the whole summary of the report is there which describes the purpose, methods, findings and recommendations. The sample size describes the sample which is being determined (Speziale, Streubert & Carpenter, 2011).

In data collection part the methods of data collection , process of collection, instruments of measurements and the issues are discussed. In the data analysis, the whole data is being analysed for the appropriate results. Identification of the statistical analysis and there is also the analysis of each outcome. Analysis is very important for the better and appropriate results.

In the findings section, it is defined that what are outcomes and findings, is the information enough to judge the results, are the results clear, limitations of the study and further suggestions are being made. In the conclusion, it has been concluded what is the most essential finding and whether it is related to the study or not. It is critically evaluated whether the nursing practice is good or not.

Values of the patients, clinical expertise is also defined in the report. This report is based on the critical evaluation of the social responsibility in the nursing care, and will help in giving the knowledge and skills of the quality (Polit and Beck, 2010).

The Sample

It is not possible to have a study on each and every individual in the targeted area. In many cases the target area is very large, and it is difficult for the researcher to have a quality research study. In this study which is in relation with the social responsibilities, the sample size which is being taken is the twelve residents of nursing home.

Sample size is chosen in the various different ways which may be related to experience, with the use of target variances , with the use of target of statistical test (Koren, 2010). In qualitative research, there is generally a subjective judgement, one approach is to include various participants and the use of material to reach saturation. The numbers which are needed to reach at the saturation is empirically investigated. The sample size is helpful is conducting research in a proper way.

Data Analysis

It is very necessary for the researcher to analysis data as it will help in determining the outcomes and results of the study, which will further help in the development and growth of the activities of the nursing care. Team analysis and member checking has been used for ensuring the study. Analysis of the team has been done on the regular basis with the help of multi perspective group for ensuring assumptions.

Team is based on the health professionals who have knowledge of the care and research (Melnyk, B.M. and Fineout-Overholt, E. eds., 2011) The interpretation of the research is necessary to do for analysing the results. 9 out of 12 residents answered that because of good friends they are here in the nursing care. In the second question 10 residents said 'yes', from that it is analysed that they are safe in the nursing home.

In the fifth question which is regarding the enjoyment of food in the nursing care, 9 out of 12 residents said sometimes which means the nursing homes should focus more on increasing the quality of food. 7 residents said often and 5 said sometimes,in the last question which is about taking care of the preferences of the residents, from this it is interpreted that the nursing homes should work little more for this, the preferences of the residents should be at the high level so as to satisfy the needs and demands of residents.

Relationships has been addressed of the residents by their responses to the different questions. In the response, relationship is defined in different ways, by judging the negative and positive qualities and also by the contribution of the residents regarding their experience in nursing home's facilities and quality of life of residents.

Relationship is also been defined by the residents in the way they get response from the staff and peers, and also from the facilities of the nursing home (Koren, 2010). Residents in the study describe the relationship which is both unfriendly and friendly with the staff and peers. It is being analysed from the study that nursing home should improve its quality in the food so as to satisfy more residents.

With the improved quality of the food, it will also help in taking care of the health of the residents. It has also been analysed that most of the residents are not able to go to their bed on time, nursing home should improve their schedule and the services so that the residents will be able to reach their bed on time and can have proper sleep. Preferences of the residents should also be taken into consideration by the nursing homes so that the residents will be fully satisfied and happy.

There is a positive environment in the nursing homes which helps the residents to remain motivated and happy . With the help of positive environment, residents will be able to neutralize the threats. Positive environment helps in the being friendly with the staff and the peers. This will help in increasing the quality of the life, will create satisfaction and improve the well being (King and Hinds, 2011). By articulating the residents views will help in developing the good relationships and will also promote good practices. Day to day activities and the interaction goals also help in relationship development.

Relevance To Nursing Practice

Relationships are the necessary part of any nursing home, they are very important for improving the quality of life of residents. According to the residents, relationships is defined as the unfriendly and friendly which is based on the responses of the staff and peers and the way they interact. Residents of the nursing home develops the relationships, and that to unintentionally so as to enjoy and to have good facilities. The strategies related to the type and time are used for motivating the residents and will also influence the development of staff and peers.

Relationship is being developed by the staff and peers in the large way, residents are the active participant which help in the development of the relationship. There are some residents who are not very successful in the development of the relationships (Edvardsson and Innes, 2010). The research study defines that the nursing homes should take care of the patients value. It may be defined as the quality of the professional, personal and the organisational relationships. Thus to promote the values of the patients, nursing homes should consider the appropriate health systems, should take care of the patients preferences.

The incorporation of the patients values in the nursing care is their important aspect, it helps in minimising the burden of care and the harms which are related with the over treatment. It will also improves the outcomes which are related with the communications like patients feelings understood, heard, engaged in the care and respected.

This will helps in improving the physiological and the medical outcomes. Nursing home staff should know the priorities of the patient and also the other information like status indicators of the patients, treatments, diagnoses etc. There are various decision aids that are being developed which helps to support the understanding of the patients values and preferences (Burack and, (2012).

Clinical expertise can be defined as the education, experience and clinical skills of the clinicians. The patients give their own preferences, values, concerns and expectations. It is the central of the quality patient care. To address this, there should be the examination of the nursing home contextual factors and the proper education of the nurses. It is the basic quality of the care.

A multilevel framework is described that how the clinical expertise should develop this through organisational and individual factor. This frame work includes the contextual features and characteristics of the nurse. Contextual features consist of the practice environment and the composition of the staff. Individual characteristics of the nurse includes experience level and the education level (Bartoli, Aguzzi and Tarricone, (2010). Clinical expertise is the hybrid of theoretical and practical knowledge.

It influences the clinical judgement of the nurses and the care quality and also develops the knowledge when the nurses do test in the clinical situations. There are five level of expertise, they are advance beginner, competent, novice, expert and the proficient. Novice stage is there in the nursing school, advance beginner make use of learned procedures, competent nurses are the task oriented and the proficient nurses recognize the situations and respond to the changing circumstances.

The way in which the residents develop and define the relationship with the staff and the peers is largely complex. The framework which is being developed in the study gives the new insight in the different strategies and processes that is being used by the residents.

The framework also helps in giving the areas in which the nursing home should make development which will eventually help to improve the staff and resident relationship and will also help in defining the various potential ways which are necessary to expand interventions for the peers. With the help of this research, nursing home will be able to find limitations and then will make improvements in the same. The survey method which is on the basis of questionnaire helps in analysing the quality of life care in the nursing home by taking responses from the residents.
